Well this is the final trail conditions report for the year and as everyone can see with the recent snow and now colder temperatures the atv season is pretty much over. The trails how ever are open and clear and if riders wish to venture please do so with caution and hazards maybe under the snow . Our trail is classified as a multi use trail and open year round , and like last year we saw a lot of snowmobile traffic on the trail including some atvs , which is good to see. Please remember that the trail is not groomed or maintained during the winter months and as noted below by our provincial association some parts of our trail do overlap the designated snowmobile trail system. Please respect other user groups and their trail systems during this time sled trails and cross country ski trails.
Thanks Sandhogs Exec.
ATV Designated Trails – Rider Restrictions During Snowmobile Season Posted on: Thursday October 20, 2016 – 9:31 am CDT
ATV trails are open to all trail users from April 1st to November 30th annually. During the snowmobile season, December 1st to March 31st, please stay off of all groomed snowmobile trails. These dates apply to all Snoman groomed trails, with the exception of the Interlake Pioneer Trail where the ATV closure dates are November1st to April 30th.
It is through mutual respect and cooperation that all trail enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the beautiful Manitoba trail system.
Thank you for your consideration!
