Currently the fire rating for Sandilands Provincial forest posted at the Marchand Park is at Moderate , however the fire rating posted at the Sprague Conservation office is at Very High. I would aspect the rating for the Sandilands Forest will change soon to a higher rating with the hot dry and windy weather as of late.
If you are planning on being in the back country this Sept Long weekend please use caution as it is pretty dry out there and a fire can change a lot of peoples lives very quickly.
